Lessons in Leadership and Resilience
May 15 | 3:30pm - 4:30pm | Podcast Hub
Described as one of America’s most inspiring and effective leaders, Monty Moran’s unique and powerful style led Chipotle to meteoric growth and success, as the company’s value grew by over $23 billion and more than 2,000 restaurants during his time as co-CEO. Chipotle’s unparalleled rise in revenue, profitability, and shareholder return were fueled by an extraordinary team of over 75,000, united around Monty’s powerful vision of rewarding people based on their effectiveness in making the people around themselves better. Monty, a former trial lawyer, is an avid pilot, author, and filmmaker, who continues to teach how to build empowered cultures by unlocking people’s maximum potential through love, vulnerability, authenticity, and excellent communication.
Monty’s view of effective leadership is unique and refreshing. It’s grounded in his belief that ordinary people, in the right environment, are capable of making extraordinary contributions. He’s found that people, whether in a law firm of 30 lawyers or a Restaurant chain of 75,000 employees, are capable of leading and making significant creative contributions when they work in a culture that ignites their individual and collective growth.
For Monty, empowerment is not a buzzword. It’s not a tactic. It’s a way of life. It’s part of the nondelegable responsibility of every leader to build relationships with those they hope to influence. After all, Monty reminds us that the only source of a leader’s power is that others choose to follow. Earning people’s respect requires leaders to love, listen and connect. It requires the kind of vulnerability that is essential to building strong relationships. And, it requires that every person take responsibility for building a culture that causes people to work and play at a high level — consistently. It was this kind of people-centric leadership that drove Monty’s team at Chipotle to grow from 400 restaurants to more than 2,200, each contributing on average over 2.5 million dollars in revenue, and to earn multiples on Wall St. that rival many technology companies.
In his new book, Love Is Free. Guac Is Extra.: How Vulnerability, Empowerment, and Curiosity Built an Unstoppable Team (2020) and upcoming docuseries, Connected: A Search for Unity, Moran explores leading with love, vulnerability, curiosity, and authenticity. He educates leaders to humbly lift up the people around them, noting that the more they do, the more they will be rewarded - professionally, financially, emotionally, and personally. His talks are fun, energetic, interesting, and full of ideas that leaders can actually use to quickly build more engaged teams, and vastly improve results.
Prior to joining Chipotle, Monty was head of litigation and then managing partner and CEO at the Denver-based law firm of Messner and Reeves, LLC, which he led for ten years. Most recently, Monty realized his lifelong dream of becoming a pilot, and flies his airplane throughout the United States to pursue his interest in better understanding and serving Americans, a quest he documents through his startup, Old Tale Productions. In addition, he is a director and chairman of corporate boards, advisor to many entrepreneurs and businesses, a filmmaker, and author.
Jay Shetty
Best-Selling Author and Award-Winning Podcast Host
Keynote: Jay Shetty
May 16 | 10am - 11am | Hall B
Jay Shetty, a global best-selling author, award-winning podcast host of “On Purpose”, and purpose-driven entrepreneur, has made an indelible impact on hearts and minds worldwide. With an astounding following of over 50 million across social media platforms, Jay possesses a talent for making purpose and ancient wisdom not only relatable but also practical and easily accessible. His journey of transformation and inspiration has touched the lives of millions across the globe.
Born and raised in London to his Indian parents, Jay was a shy and introverted young boy who always yearned to make a positive difference in the world. His life took a remarkable turn when he received a last-minute invitation to listen to a monk speak. In that moment, Jay began to question and redefine the very essence of success, aspiring to a life of service, impact, fulfillment, and passion. However, he grappled with the challenge of integrating these aspirations into his life while pursuing a path in university. During his school years, Jay spent vacations living with monks in India, immersing himself in their wisdom and teachings.
After graduating from Cass Business School in 2010 with a 1st Class Honors Degree in Management Science, Jay remained driven by a deep desire to positively impact those around him. He felt uncertain about how his degree aligned with his purpose. It was then that Jay made the decision to embark on a three-year journey as a Hindu monk in India and the UK. He traded his suits for robes, shaved his head, and embraced a minimalist lifestyle. Waking up at 4am, taking cold showers, and simplifying his diet became his new normal. Through dedicated study and up to 8 hours of daily meditation, Jay delved into the ancient practices of breath and mindfulness, immersing himself in the timeless philosophies and sciences of the East. During this transformative period of self-discovery, Jay realized that his life's calling extended far beyond himself—he was determined to help others find their purpose.
In 2013, Jay faced the challenging transition of leaving the monastery and returning to London. He grappled with the conflicting teachings of the monastery and the world he desired to engage with. Former classmates from university sought his wisdom and invited him to speak at their companies, where Jay shared valuable insights on productivity and practical applications of his monk learnings in the workplace. Simultaneously, Jay observed the world's shift towards a digital landscape. After months of job applications and interviews, he joined Accenture in 2013 as a consultant.
Jay soon recognized the immense potential in bridging the wisdom he had gained from his monastic experiences with the rapidly expanding digital world. Despite their apparent differences, Jay saw profound similarities between the two realms. This led to Jay creating short videos and posting them on YouTube. His inspiring videos caught the attention of Arianna Huffington, who invited him to become the Host of HuffPost Rise in New York. In the fall of 2016, Jay embraced the opportunity and made the momentous move across the pond to join HuffPost. Since then, he embarked on a journey of sharing viral wisdom, amassing over 10 billion views and fostering a global community.
Jay Shetty harnessed the transformative power of digital and audio media with the launch of "On Purpose with Jay Shetty" in 2019. This groundbreaking and award-winning podcast tops the charts as the world's leading Health and Wellness podcast with over 35 million monthly downloads, consistently ranking among Spotify's Top 10 Podcasts and earning a spot among Apple's Top 20 Podcasts of the Year. Through captivating and sincere dialogues, Jay engages in conversations with some of the most influential and insightful individuals on the planet. From President Joe Biden, Oprah and Selena Gomez to Will Smith, Tom Holland, Kim Kardashian, Kevin Hart, Jennifer Lopez, Lewis Hamilton, and Kobe Bryant, Jay's podcast attracts an array of notable guests, enabling him to delve deep into thoughtprovoking discussions that inspire and enlighten his listeners.
In 2020, Jay Shetty released his debut book, Think Like A Monk: Train Your Mind for Peace and Purpose Everyday, which soared to the top of the New York Times and UK Sunday Times bestsellers lists. It was also ranked by Apple Books as the Best Audio Book of the Year and named Book of the Year by the British Book Awards. Through his inspiring book, Jay draws upon his experience living with monks to guide readers in clearing roadblocks and tapping into their boundless potential, power, and purpose. By blending ancient wisdom and his own transformative journey in the ashram, Think Like a Monk unveils the secrets to overcoming negative thoughts and habits, enabling everyone to access the inherent calm and purpose that reside within.
During the pandemic, Jay felt a strong urge to make a difference. In 2020, he initiated 40 days of meditation on Instagram, YouTube, and Facebook Live, which inspired tens of thousands of people and provided them with solace and stability. Upon learning that one person was losing their life to Covid every 5 minutes in India, Jay and Radhi joined forces with Give India. Together, they orchestrated an online event that garnered immense support, raising over $5 Million in just 24 hours. The event featured notable guests such as Lilly Singh, a captivating performance by Willow Smith, and contributions from esteemed individuals ranging from Shawn Mendes to Ellen DeGeneres to Ray Dalio. Their collective efforts not only raised substantial funds but also raised awareness and demonstrated the power of unity and compassion. That same year, together with Jay’s Facebook community, he assisted over 800 students in obtaining educational programming for a year through Pencils of Promise. As a result, he was honored with the Philanthropist of the Year award by Pencils of Promise.
Building upon the resounding success of Think Like A Monk, Jay later wrote his second book, 8 Rules of Love: How to Find It, Keep It, and Let It Go, in response to the most common questions he received over the pandemic, which revolved around love and relationships. In 2023 when the book was published, it quickly claimed its place as another instant New York Times and global bestseller. This book explores the multifaceted nature of love and offers a revelatory guide to navigating every stage of romance. Drawing from both ancient wisdom and cutting-edge science, it provides a unique perspective on falling in love, cultivating self-love, healing from heartbreak, and rediscovering the transformative power of love. To bring these enlightening teachings to life, Jay embarked on his first-ever worldwide tour, "Jay Shetty: Love Rules." This captivating 90-minute experience took audiences on a transformative journey through live meditations, empowering experiments, and awe-inspiring demonstrations. With over 30 stops in North America and an international leg encompassing India, the UK, Spain, France, Singapore, Australia, the UAE, and more, Jay's tour connected hearts and souls across the globe.
Continuing his mission to empower and inspire, Jay, alongside his partners, unveiled House of 1212—a purpose-driven talent agency representing the world's most influential creators, thought leaders, and innovators. With unwavering commitment, their agency aims to unlock the inner greatness and full potential of these visionaries, facilitating positive change and leaving an indelible mark on the world. In June of 2023, Jay and his wife Radhi Devlukia launched Juni, an adaptogenic sparkling tea - a simple way to make wellness part of your daily routine. Each can is infused with powerful adaptogens that blend together to renew energy, enhance focus, and elevate overall wellbeing.
Jay has been honored by Forbes 30 Under 30 as a media game changer, recognized as "One To Watch" by People Magazine, crowned Best Health & Wellness Creator of the Year and Podcast of the Year at the Streamy Awards, featured as a Young Influential cover star by Adweek, and listed among "The 40(ish) Most Powerful People in Podcasting" by The Hollywood Reporter. Furthermore, Jay has won four Streamy Awards, two Shorty Awards, a Webby Award, and an Ambies Award, among others. Jay has also appeared in publications such as Vogue, The New York Times, Harper’s Bazaar, Vanity Fair, Men’s Health, The Wall Street Journal and has made appearances on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, TODAY Show, Good Morning America, The Drew Barrymore Show and Nightline.
When Jay isn’t writing or making videos, he’s coaching as the founder of the Jay Shetty Certification School, a purpose driven educational institution offering accredited certifications in life coaching to individuals and organizations. As a keynote speaker, Jay has traveled around the world on global stages on behalf of powerhouses like Google, Microsoft, Netflix, HSBC, and has developed corporate training programs for many of these organizational clients. His online courses have been attended by over 2 million students and his “Genius Community” provides weekly programming on the principles and practices for health and wellness to thousands of members in over 100 countries.
Currently, Jay resides in Los Angeles with his beloved wife, Radhi Devlukia-Shetty. Together, they continue on their shared mission of spreading love, purpose, and positive transformation to individuals around the world.

My entire life I’ve been fascinated by personal development. To me, it’s key to living the best life you can, while you’re here.
In my early twenties, I decided to start a career in real estate. Real Estate represented an unlimited potential for myself to grow and develop as a business person. I founded a business with my brother and we quickly grew it to seven figures.
Over the years, I became fascinated with agents and what made some successful while others struggled. My fascination led to a passion for teaching and coaching and after 15 years in sales, I sold my business to build a coaching and training platform for Realtors.
My passion for coaching quickly grew my business to serve hundreds of clients across Canada. My vision is to create communities for our clients to support one another and share as they grow. The underpinning has helped our members to set winning habits, not only for business but in their lives well and the results have been incredible. Through our growth we’ve created an amazing team focused on our mission to help our members raise the bar in their lives.
The professional accomplishments I’ve seen have allowed me to give back and serve my community. My partner and I have founded water projects in Africa, served and donated to local food banks and shelters and raised money annually for victims of domestic violence. One of my long term commitments is impacting change in the landscape of Canadian homeownership. Over the past 4 years I’ve sat on the board Home Opportunities Non Profit, helping to create new ownership opportunities for lower income Canadians.
My mission is to live incredibly, and the journey of learning how to do this is something I’m passionate about sharing. My vision for my coaching is to help people break free from the comfortable grip of mediocrity and escape into their true best life.

Anyone who follows the high-end real estate market recognizes Dolly Lenz as unquestionably the industry’s premier real estate professional. In its list of “Top Women in Real Estate” Fortune magazine stated, “Dolly Lenz reigns when it comes to the high-profile Megadeal.” In the only profile it has ever done of a real estate broker, “The Economist” magazine called Dolly, “New York’s Real Estate Queen” and the real estate blog “The Real Stalker” called Dolly, “the most successful real estate agent that ever walked the earth.”
As former Vice Chairman of Douglas Elliman, Dolly had responsibility over New Development sales as well as her own proprietary residential and commercial clients. In 2013, Dolly left the real estate company to start her own ultra-luxury sales and marketing firm, Dolly Lenz Real Estate (DLRE). During her career, she has sold an unprecedented $14.0 Billion in property, including her record-setting sales of a $57.0 million triplex penthouse to billionaire Rupert Murdoch, the New York Foundling’s $45.0 million West Village Mansion, and the $212.0 million sale of a building lot at 400 Fifth Ave for Richard Fuld of Lehman Brothers to a European Billionaire. Dolly has also managed the sales and marketing efforts of New York, Miami, & Naples’ most illustrious properties including the Ritz Carlton at 50 Central Park South and the Millennium Partners Luxury Property Portfolio, the iconic Apthorp and Manhattan House condominiums, The Cipriani Club Residences, Miraval Living, & the Mark on 8th in Naples, Florida. Dolly has one of the most impressive client rosters in the industry. Although she is mainly known for discretely representing high profile celebrity & UHNW clients, Dolly does over half her business with private families and discreet foreign buyers, including heads of state and sovereign wealth funds, who buy & sell significant New York and Florida properties. Having previously established a strong foothold in the Miami & Palm Beach markets, she extended the firm’s reach to Naples in 2020, eagerly introducing her esteemed clients from the Northeast and abroad to the enchanting Southwest Florida region, including the prestigious neighborhoods of Port Royal, Aqualane Shores, & the areas distinguished country club and golf communities.
Due to the depth of her experience and the breadth of knowledge in real estate matters, Dolly has served as a CNBC & Fox Business contributor as well as a monthly columnist for Australia’s largest publication “The Australian.” Recently, Dolly was featured on-air as a real estate consultant working with mega producer Norman Lear on Netflix’s “Billionaires: Explained”. Additionally, she consulted with the Wall Street Journal as the super luxury real estate expert for Showtime’s “Billions” and recorded an eighteen-minute podcast for the television series. As a regular guest on CNBC’s "Power Lunch”, “Squawk Box”, “Fox Business”, “Fox News with Neil Cavuto”, as well as appearances on MSNBC, Bloomberg TV, and "The View" on ABC, she has developed a broad following and continues to opine on current real estate issues in various media publications including The New York Times, Wall Street Journal, The Financial Times and Barrons. Dolly created & hosted the highly successful and multi-season CNBC documentary series “Mega Homes: Secret Lives of The Super Rich.” She was also the host of CNBC's real estate special series "Million Dollar Home Challenge” and has frequently been featured on NBC’s network series “Open House”.
Prior to her entry into the real estate industry, Dolly held various positions in the retail, motion picture, and insurance industries. She began her real estate career working in the listings department of a small mom-and- pop firm. Her impressive sales results caused industry insiders to take notice and led to her being recruited by Alfred Taubman, Chairman & CEO of Sotheby’s where she spent over 10 years as their top-producing broker and spearheaded Sotheby’s international sales efforts. Dolly’s ability to continually set sales records soon led to her being featured in “New York Magazine” as one of the City’s top ten real estate “Power Brokers”. She was subsequently recruited by billionaire Andrew Farkas at Insignia Douglas Elliman and was key to bringing about the sale of Insignia Douglas Elliman to Prudential Insurance Co and was subsequently promoted to Vice Chairman of Douglas Elliman. Dolly is not only recognized for her extraordinary business accomplishments, but also for her philanthropic contributions to charitable organizations such as the Naples Children & Education Foundation, Ronald McDonald House, St. Matthew’s House Naples, Youth Haven, Kips Bay Boys & Girls Club, the Central Park Conservancy, the New York Police Foundation, Lincoln Center for The Performing Arts, and the Lambda Legal Defense & Education Fund.
